                                                                    A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Everyone has a life story, and I want to tell you mine.  I am a positive, creative person with a  real sense of purpose.  I   have thirty years of Professional Experience in Design, Art Direction and Management for Film, Theatre, Exhibits and the Entertainment Arts.   In 2016, I had a Stroke while working as a Project Manager for Lexington Design, Inc., in Los Angeles, California.   I've spent the last nine years focusing on re-building my Personal and Professional Life.  And, in 2023 I moved to Fort Worth to do just that.   Today, I'm a Texas Resident offering Theatrical Design to the Local Fort Worth Arts Community.   In an honest effort to be transparent,  I'm somewhat physically disabled, but fully cognitive and ready to offer my  Extensive Design Experience.  WHEN YOU'RE READY TO COLLABORATE  CLICK  THE RED, "LET'S CHAT!", BUTTON ON THE RIGHT.    THANKS!

           THEATRE

I received my BFA Degree  in Theatre Design from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in the early 80's.   I was in a Work/Study Program, because I previously worked as a Carpenter after high school.

After receiving my BFA, I wanted to work in Film, so I moved to Los Angeles, where I received my MFA Degree in the Theatre Design from University Of Southern California.  Again, I was part of the Work/Study program.  It help to pay the bills.

  ENTERTAINMENT

In 1988, I was still living in Los Angeles and working regularly on Independent Films.  But, it was the "Gypsy Life",  of going from one movie location to the next, across the United States that began wearing me down.

Then, one day a friend told me that a Los Angeles Entertainment Company, called Landmark Entertainment, Inc., was looking for Art Directors to go to  Japan as Design Consultants for the Sanrio Corporation to Design and Art Direct the first Indoor Theme Park In The World called, "Puroland".   You may recognize Sanrio from the iconic, "Hello Kitty", character.  You bet I jumped at the chance and spent three years there.

Afterwards,  I returned to Los Angeles and continued working as an Art Director for other Theme Parks, such as MCA/Universal and Disney.

                FILM

After receiving my Master's Degree I dived into the world of Independent Film  from my Home Base in Los Angeles.  I  worked on numerous  Independent Films as a Designer,  Art Director and Scenic Artist.   A couple of Independent Films you might be aware of are, "The Fabulous Baker Boys", and, "Eight Men Out".

        EXHIBITS

At Christmas time in 1991, I was returning from Japan and heading back to Los Angeles, when I decided to take some time  and visit my family for the Christmas holidays in my home town of Alexandria, Virginia.  That's when it happened... I fell in love  with a hometown girl.   Shortly after I moved from Angeles  and came back to the East Coast where I  continued to work as an Art Director, Project Manager and Estimator for such companies as,  Adirondack Scenic Studios and Explus, Incorporated.
